i'm thinkin'

while ignoring the fact that after 9 hours I have my guitar lesson and I need to go to sleep I just watched that video where Jack White and Conan O'Brien talked about music, minimalism, modern effects of the society and technology and so on.

it was kind of awesome to see Jack open up so easily in front of 3 cameras that were recording this session. because usually he's more 'stiff' (that isn't the right word to describe that but you get it, hopefully).
speaking about him, old Jackie has always been an inspiration of mine, especially in this 21st century, where the Internet is full of useless and boring pictures of the same damn celebrity and their life and the music sometimes is the same or just isn't music at all.
Jacky has always been like in his own bubble, struggling and fighting his inner battles with his mind to create music or just to understand what's what. He has isolated himself in that perfect level where the media doesn't bug him too much and his lives his own pace not being influenced by the modernism and at the same time he let's himself in this weird modern bubble just show that he's here and he's rockin'.

I guess the thing that attracts me so much to him is not only his uniqueness, but his straightforwardness in music, art. He actually sits there if he needs to; he doesn't take the easy way to cheat at creating a masterpiece, he struggles until he has beaten the monster that was bothering him. His brutal way of showing his point of view to nowadays is so intimidating and awesome and I have no other words to say. When you listen to what he says or what he creates, you gotta think it through. You have to investigate everything he has done, what he meant by that and so on.

and now I'm in that period when I really want to express everything I want to say about him, the interview and so on, but my mind's in a 'I wanna sleep' mood.

watch the "interview". pretty inspiring. well, at least for me.
